This tiny 10-pound treasure goes by the name Bunni and comes to us from a local city shelter where she had been turned in as a stray. It appears that 4-year-old Bunni may have mothered a pup or two in her day, but fortunately she is not a puppy mill girl. With her pretty salt 'n pepper coat, Bunni is a sweetheart who has lots of love to share. If youre looking for the special companionship of a new forever friend, this girl is waiting just for you!"

Meet Bradford, a fine boy who came to us from a local city shelter where he had been turned in as a stray. At the age of 3 years, Bradford was in dire need of a bath and haircut when we first met him, but a day at the groomer revealed what a handsome fellow he truly is! Best of all, his life on the streets appears to have had no lasting ill effects on this healthy, 21.4 pound guy. Bradford is relieved to be rescued from the elements just before the hot summer weather sets in and is looking forward to happy days ahead in a loving, secure forever home."

'Jason Heigl Heal a Heart' Grant Recipient. Howdy! My name is Joker and Im a fun-loving, 18-pound handsome guy who found myself at a local city shelter, alone and with no home to call my own. To top it off, I was diagnosed with heartworm disease, thanks to those pesky mosquitoes. Not to worry, though! The folks at MSRNT took me under their wing and promised to heal my heart with the help of our special friend, the Jason Heigl "Heal a Heart" Program, funded by Nancy Heigl as a memorial to her son, Jason. At the age of just 3 years, I have plenty of energy and cant wait to get back on all four paws. Adopt me as your very own and lets get started on a summer of fun in the sun!"

Introducing Sophi, one of seven healthy pups born in mid-February to Mimi, the sweet salt n pepper girl who came to us from a local city shelter shortly before delivering her puppies. The identity of Sophis dad is unknown, though we are certain he is not a schnauzer. Only Mimi knows for sure and shes not talking! As puppies change daily, we can only give a description of each dog at a particular point in time. At the age of 10 weeks, 7-pound Sophi and her housemate, Rylie are described by their foster mom as medium energy playful pups who love to chase and wrestle and play with toys. Both are learning basic commands and Sophi can boast that she is 95% housetrained, will sit for meals and treats and is learning her name and that the crate is her place. Sophi is an outgoing, affectionate girl who loves to give kisses. Both girls are learning to bark and talk, and enjoy watching TV in the evening or providing their own brand of entertainment for their foster family. While 50% of this Sophis bloodline may remain a mystery, one thing is certain. Sophi, like her siblings, has known nothing but the nurturing wing of MSRNT foster parents since the day she was born. The loving guidance and training that she is receiving will serve her well as she grows to be the best little doggie she can be!"

MSRNT welcomes Duncan and Delilah, a pair of 1-year-old youngsters so identical that it appears they may very well have come from the same litter. At the age of 1 year, both pups come to us from a city shelter after having been found running stray together. At 18 pounds, Duncan is the larger of the two and that, combined with the fact that his ears are a bit longer, are the only features that seem to distinguish the two. His foster mom claims that Duncan, like Delilah, is a shy youngster who is submissive, very sweet and working hard to perfect his manners. Though they began life together, there is no reason to believe these two will not thrive living apart. Duncan is looking forward to a home with a family who will provide plenty of TLC and will appreciate him for the sweet, adorable boy that he is."

Two-year-old Miles is filled with youthful energy and has trimmed downed to 18 pounds with a bit of extra exercise. Miles does have a neurological disorder that affects his gait, making him appear to be a bit clumsy but it does not affect his ability to run and play and does not appear to be detrimental to his overall health. This boy is incredibly sweet and loving. He is a good boy who is housebroken and loves to please his humans. Miles is looking for a home where he will receive plenty of TLC and, in return, he promises a lifetime of unconditional love."

'Jason Heigl Heal a Heart' Grant Recipient. The arrival of spring brings hope for new beginnings and for our gentle friend, Nacho, this spring brings the hope of a new life in a new forever home. Surrendered to a local shelter by his family, Nacho was suffering from heartworm disease and in need of dental treatment when he arrived at MSRNT. With all that now behind him, Nacho is feeling fit and is ready to get on with life. Nacho has been quite the hit in his foster home where he has spent the last several weeks recuperating from his heartworm disease. Though he is a tall boy at 24 pounds, his foster mom claims he has no interest in playing the alpha dog and is happy to follow the other, smaller dogs in the home. He is a well-adjusted, easygoing, sociable fellow who not only enjoys the company of other dogs, but also humans, and happily welcomes guests into the home. Nacho is particularly fond of his foster dad who he follows most everywhere. Nacho is housetrained, quiet, and enjoys sitting by your feet. When asked to describe Nacho, his foster mom struggled to think of a negative trait, offering only that he does not care for crates and instead prefers a dog bed. Clearly this boy is a winner and will make a wonderful companion dog. Nacho is a friendly fellow who truly deserves the best and, in return, will bring the best to his new family!"

Not long ago when little Miss Lilly came to MSRNT from a local shelter after having been part of an animal rescue effort, she was suffering from skin, ear and eye problems along with a host of other issues. Now flourishing in the loving environment of her foster home, Lillys condition has improved immensely and she now only requires twice-daily ointment for dry eye. This 6-year-old sweetheart is initially shy but will warm up and enjoys cuddling and sleeping with her favorite humans. At just over 12 pounds, Lilly loves to play with toys and throw them into the air. According to her foster mom, she loves other dogs, particularly those handsome little boy dogs with whom she loves to flirt! Lilly is crate trained, housebroken and doggie door trained. This special girl is doing her best to make lemonade from a life of lemons. The security and trust of a loving forever home should be all she needs to succeed."
