This sweet guy will be the perfect dog for a special family. Miles is two years old, but spent the first few years of his life confined , so he has a second chance for a great life through MSRNT. He is housebroken, filled with energy, and is the happiest boy in the world when he gets to play, and get affection and attention from people. He is the type of dog who simply wants to please, and be loved. His foster parents report that he is well behaved and a pleasure to have around. He doesn’t jump on furniture, and will happily lie at your feet. Miles is handsome boy, but you may notice that his gait appears a bit clumsy. This does not affect his ability to run and play, and he does not have a degenerative disease. The vet says he has an underdeveloped cerebellum, which affects his motor skills, but not his intelligence or ability to learn and be a normal dog. The big issue with Miles is that after several retina scans, we discovered he has juvenile cataracts. But the good news is that there is corrective surgery that will give this boy back his sight—and a whole new world. The surgery is expensive, so we are hoping that some special schnauzer lovers would be willing to make donations to give this deserving boy the gift of sight. Imagine how being able to see will open up the world for young Miles! We greatly appreciate your generosity.

It’s hard to imagine that this sweet girl once had to endure years confined to a crate, along with other dogs in crates stacked to the ceiling in a double-wide trailer. Fortunately, she was rescued in a cruelty bust, and MSRNT was able to take her in to rehabilitate her.

She is 6 years old, and is a wonderful trooper, with a heart of gold. The road hasn’t been easy for Lilly, and she truly deserves a better life. When she came to MSRNT her feet were flattened from standing in a crate, she suffered from a skin condition, bad teeth, dry eyes and corneal ulcers, and had hookworms.

Medical care provided by MSRNT cleared up her skin, eyes and worms, and gave her a dental treatment. We later discovered a condition called pyometra, which a life-threatening uterine infection. Fortunately, it was found before it progressed too far, and the infection has cleared and she was spayed. Right now Lilly is on the mend physically, and is in a foster home--a completely new world for her. She loves other dogs, but must learn to trust humans.

MSRNT’s vet bills for this sweet girl are over $1,500 but we know she is worth every penny. If you are touched by her story and could help with a donation, Lilly will appreciate the chance for a better life.
